Alberto Moel

Professor of Practice in Finance, HKU
Advisor, Alpha Intelligence Capital
Former VP Strategy, Veo Robotics
Former Senior Analyst, Sanford C. Bernstein

Alberto Moel sits at the precise intersection of deep technology and high finance. His career is defined by an ability to value what others find incomprehensible: the complex machinery of the Asian industrial supply chain.

Alberto established his reputation as a Senior Research Analyst at Sanford C. Bernstein in Hong Kong, where he built the firm’s Asian technology franchise from the ground up. There, he became the definitive voice on the robotics and automation sectors, authoring over 600 reports that guided institutional capital into the opaque world of Asian manufacturing. His analysis is grounded not just in balance sheets, but in physics; he holds a doctoral degree (Sc.D.) in Electrical Engineering from MIT.

Most recently, he served as VP of Strategy and Partnerships at Veo Robotics, a pioneer in human-machine collaboration acquired by Symbotic. He has also co-led the Tokyo office of the Monitor Group and currently advises Alpha Intelligence Capital. A Harvard MBA Baker Scholar, Alberto bridges the gap between the R&D lab and the trading floor.
